Deep Parikh, MD is a Harvard fellowship trained and board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Uveitis and Retina. He maintains a private practice at Gentile Retina NYC and Long Island and serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor and Clinical Instructor at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and NYU Langone Long Island School of Medicine.

After graduating from Stuyvesant High School, Dr. Parikh earned his medical degree (M.D.) from the Honors B.A. and M.D. program at Brooklyn College and SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his internship and Ophthalmology residency training at Hofstra-Northwell Health System (formerly North Shore-LIJ).

Dr. Parikh subsequently went on to complete additional subspecialty training with a fellowship in Uveitis with Dr. C. Michael Samson at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital followed by a second fellowship in Medical Retina at Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital. He is one of a select few doctors in the country having trained in both uveitis and retinal disease.

Dr. Parikh’s areas of expertise include the latest advances in the use of intravitreal and periocular eye injections and retinal lasers for the treatment of age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, central serous chorioretinopathy, myopic degeneration and in the use of systemic immunomodulatory therapy for the treatment of uveitis and ocular inflammation.

Dr. Parikh is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Uveitis Society. 

Dr. Parikh has published his research and has presented at multiple national meetings including the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology (ARVO), the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). Dr. Parikh continues to devote his time to educating the next generation of doctors and teaches medical students and resident physicians at the NYU Langone Long Island School of Medicine and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. 

Dr. Parikh has been honored by his peers as a New York Super Doctors® for 2022 and 2023.
